After being launched two months ago on iOS, the popular artificial intelligence (AI) technology application made by OpenAI, ChatGPT, will be released for Android-based devices next week.
According to a Tech Crunch report on Saturday, OpenAI announced the news via a tweet on Twitter that the ChatGPT app will be “rolling out to users next week.”
Users in the United States will reportedly be the first to be able to enjoy the ChatGPT intelligence technology application made by Sam Altman’s company on Android devices.

OpenAI expanded ChatGPT for iOS in a number of countries a week after its release in the United States. In May, OpenAI released the ChatGPT application for iOS-based devices which was downloaded 500 thousand times in just a week after its release date.
This application had become one of the fastest growing applications before being overtaken by Meta’s social media application, Threads, which managed to get 30 users within 24 hours.
The Android version of the ChatGPT application has a similar appearance and features to the iOS version, almost all the features available on the web version will also be present on Android. Users can sync conversations and preferences across devices.
